Terms of Service
Last updated 31 August 2026
These terms cover your use of Qaaf AI at qaafai.com. Using the service means you accept them.
What we provide
AI translation, transcription, transliteration and OCR, aimed mainly at Islamic books, lectures and manuscripts. Some tools are free to use in the browser; larger jobs and file uploads run on credits.
Your account
- Give accurate details when you register.
- Keep your password, or your Google account, secure. Activity under your account is your responsibility.
- One person or organisation per account. Do not create several accounts to claim the free trial repeatedly.
- We may suspend an account that is being used abusively.
Your content stays yours
You keep all rights to the material you upload and to the results produced from it. We claim no ownership. We use your content only to run the job you asked for, as described in our Privacy Policy, and we do not use it to train models.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload. Do not submit material you are not permitted to copy or translate.
Credits and payment
- Credits are bought in packages and spent across translation, transliteration and transcription alike.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
- Credits are not charged for a job that fails on our side.
- If something goes wrong with a job you paid for, tell us and we will put it right — usually by re-running it or restoring the credits.
What AI output can and cannot do
This matters more here than in most services, because the material is often religious.
- Output is produced by AI and can contain errors, even when it reads fluently.
- Anything intended for publication, teaching or religious use should be checked by a qualified human being before it is relied on.
- Where a page or passage cannot be read reliably, we mark it rather than guess. A gap is deliberate and is not a defect.
- We do not warrant that output is complete, accurate or fit for any particular purpose.
Acceptable use
Do not use Qaaf AI to:
- Break the law, or infringe anyone's copyright.
- Process material you have no right to process.
- Attack, overload or attempt to break into the service.
- Resell access to the tools without our agreement.
- Produce content that misrepresents scripture or scholarship as something it is not.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee it will always be available. It depends on third parties, including Google Cloud, and can be interrupted for maintenance or by problems outside our control.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before it arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or lost data.
Ending your use
You may stop using Qaaf AI at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will explain why where we reasonably can.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and significant changes will be announced on the site.
