Transliteration Tools
Transliteration is writing the same words in a different script. It sounds like a lookup table, and for most characters it is — which is why every free converter online gets those right.
The part they get wrong is the same in every language: when one sound has several possible spellings, or one character has several possible readings, the correct answer depends on knowing the word rather than hearing it. These tools read the sentence first.

Transliteration is not translation
A transliteration says the same word in a different script. كتاب becomes kitab, not book. It changes how the word is written, never what it means.
If you want the meaning in another language, that is translation — use the book translator or the audio transcriber instead. For whole books that only exist on paper, start with digitization, and if you are taking the result to print, see Arabic and Urdu typesetting.
